Call for Stories: Afghan Autism
Parents -Your Voice Matters!

Being an Afghan parent of an autistic child is a journey filled with love, learning, challenges and far too often, SILENCE!

Share Your Story

In our culture, autism is often misunderstood. Many families suffer in isolation, unsure of how to speak up or who will understand.

But, the truth is: you are not alone! Your voice matters.

That's why I am opening up the Afghan Autism Parenting Journey Blog to YOU- fellow parents in the Afghan diaspora raising children on the spectrum.

Why Share Your Story

Because stories break stigma and help build connections!

Because your voice could inspire, educate, or comfort another Afghan family who is just starting out.

Whether you have faced judgement, found unexpected support or discovered a king of strength you never knew you had, your experience is valuable

What You Can Share:

  • When you first noticed signs of autism in your child?

  • What was the diagnosis process like?

  • Faced challenges

  • Community & family reactions

  • Your hopes, fears and proud moments

  • Insights for other Afghan parents just beginning their journey

How to Submit:

Option 1: Click here to share your story by answering a few questions.

Option 2: Click here to share your story your way! (option to upload a PDF file included)

Note:  You can choose to remain anonymous and sharing a photo is completely optional.  All stories will be shared with respect, sensitivity and your voice intact. Minor edits may be made for clarity, but the heart of your message will remain yours.

Every time one of us speaks up,

we make space for another parent to breathe a little easier.

This blog is not just my story! It's ours!

Let's Break the Silence - TOGETHER!
